Dinetic AG was founded in Lucerne in 2021 by brothers Silvan and Raphael Schmid. We bring molecular biology and entrepreneurship together to turn biological discoveries into technologies that brands can use.

OUR ORIGIN

A shared question. Five years of commitment.

Why should a natural active lose its complexity when made reproducible? That question brought us together. Raphael approached it through molecular biology. Silvan saw the opportunity to build a company around the answer.

After building and selling their first company, the brothers founded Dinetic in Lucerne in 2021. They funded the foundational research themselves and assembled specialist research and development partners around it. Today, Dinetic connects scientific direction, formulation readiness and commercial execution in one company.

CEO & Co-founder

Silvan Schmid

Silvan leads company strategy, financing and commercial partnerships. Trained in process engineering, he previously built and sold a company in the plant and spice sector. At Dinetic, he turns scientific assets into partner offers, products and routes to market.

CSO & Co-founder

Dr. Raphael Schmid

Raphael leads the scientific programme from molecular screening and reconstruction through formulation. His background in molecular biology, cell biology and tissue engineering shapes the experimental questions and the evidence needed to answer them.

Chief Research Officer

Dr. Lionel Tintignac

Lionel contributes cell biology and neuromuscular research expertise to Dinetic’s experimental strategy. He helps translate precise biological questions into rigorous studies with specialist research partners.

We decide which biological questions to pursue, which molecular combinations to develop and what needs to be tested next. Specialist partners extend that capability; scientific direction stays with Dinetic.

Make research usable

A promising result must become something a formulator can work with. Composition, delivery, samples and technical documentation belong in the same development programme.

Stay close to the product

Formula51 puts us on the brand side of our own technology. Decisions about formulation, packaging and launch give us practical experience of the choices our ingredient partners face.
